In Edinburgh now, flying desperately by cities looking for a home. Besides my previous 4-night CouchSurfing stop in Glasgow, I have increased the pace of my travels. I have been to Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow, and Edinburgh, but intend to see a whole lot more before making a final decision. Nevertheless, there is less than 3 weeks left and I am getting very nervous about finding a place.
Glasgow was really marvelous. I was altogether ready to make it my first choice, but then a job search showed that my industry was simply not developed enough there. That was sort of a big blow, it being the only city so far that I was sure I could build a home in. Liverpool also could work, though my half day there is hardly enough to go on. Hopefully, the internet at the hostel will be more stable tomorrow and I can do a comprehensive job search in Liverpool and all the cities that I am planning to visit (Leeds, Sheffield, and Nottingham). Right now it still looks like I will end up in Bristol, though I have met some other places better suited to my needs…
