Montgomery Webster is an artist and product designer (UX). When he’s not hustling, Monty writes, reads, exercises, games, studies, travels, plans, barters, and searches for business partnerships.
He also knows some Japanese (and about 500 kanji).
While Monty lacks coding professional experience, the degree allows him to quickly onboard new tools and automate simple tasks.
Graduate work
Monty graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (Minneapolis, Minnesota). His research focused on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).
Undergraduate
Monty attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff year-round in an effort to rush into graduate school. He probably would have been better off getting some work experience or studying abroad.
Besides Philosophy, Ceramics, and Film Studies, Monty took classes in Politics, Creative Writing, Art History, and Horse-riding.
Monty’s academic publications cover a wide range of Human-Computer Interaction areas (HCI), including fitness visualisation, input devices, 3D tracking, colour selection interfaces, design applications, usability, and text readability. Here are some of his other ambitions…
Exercising and gaming; it's a no brainer. While new innovations come out every decade or so, we can certainly do better.
From surgery games to flight training, no interaction is more complex than a simulator.
Everything should be customizable, but theming and other tools often lack the structure to assist users in making sustainable designs.
How will users interact with their robotic machines and toys?
Let's find out.
With millions of users listening to music on video platforms, there's an opportunity to drastically simplify music video production.
As a child, Monty always assumed he would be a university professor. Everyday he gets closer to that goal.
